Private equity investment
Primehotels Ltd owns and operates hotels in Finland. In 2018, US private equity fund Pt. Capital invested in Primehotels to finance its growth projects. Pt. Capital is specialised in private equity investments in the Arctic region. The fund has investments in tourism sector companies in Iceland and Alaska as well as in Finland. Primehotels’ cooperation with Marriott International enabled Hotel Katajanokka to become the first hotel in the Marriott chain in Finland in 2018. The investment made by Pt. Capital enables the opening of several new locations and the robust growth of Primehotels Ltd in the next few years. Taaleri Kapitaali acted as financial advisor to Pt. Capital.
